Rescue Me ID: 18-01-10-00448Rowdy (male)

American Staffordshire Terrier Mix    Age: Adult

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

If you have any questions about fostering or adopting Rowdy please contact 4 Paws 4 Life Rescue and Boarding directly at and adopt@4p4l.org. DATE ROWDY IS COMING TO 1st EVENT: Friday, January 12. Rowdy was turned into the shelter in early March after her owners no longer wanted her which is really hard to believe. Rowdy is the type of dog you look forward to coming home to. I've never seen a dog break into happy dance as fast as Rowdy when she knows your coming to give her attention. She loves to go on long walks and is great on a leash. She would do great in a home with older kids and without cats. All pets are available for online ... (Read More)adoption now. In-person adoptions will begin on the date of a dog's first event provided they are still available. Dogs not adopted during their first event will attend additional events thereafter until adopted. Our adoption events are at the Lakewood Petco, 475 S Wadsworth Blvd on Fridays 4pm-7pm and Saturdays 11am-1pm. A completed adoption application online is required prior to viewing our dogs. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and first 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with Pet First pet insurance. Adopter has to sign up for the insurance if they are interested or it will not go into effect. Adopter can go to our vet for medical issues that may arise in the first 3 days of adoption with prior authorization as per condition on Terms of Adoption. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up at our Lakewood Petco adoption events, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances. A dog on PENDING status means the dog is still en route to our rescue but is scheduled to arrive very soon. A dog on AVAILABLE status means the dog is currently in our care. American Staffordshire Terrier Mix    Age: Young Adult

Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

This is the very beautiful AVA - between 2 and 3 years old. She has movie star good looks and is very sweet once she gets to know you. Your patience will pay off. Within 5 minutes of picking her up from the shelter, she had hopped into my front seat to be right ON the air conditioning vents. Then she would wiggle around so that I could scratch just the spot that was itching. Then we went to the park for a walk where she surprised my with an extended roll in the grass under a shady tree. For you gardeners out there, Ava is guaranteed to rid your yard of varmints. She knows her basic commands and walks great on a leash with a Gentle Leader or ... (Read More)a regular leash as long as you are prepared for her own version of 'Hop Over and Nail a Bunny'. Foster home needed. For an application or additional information, please call/text 303-882-0837 or email dancingdogrescue@earthlink.net. Update 8-5-2016: Ava prefers a home without men - she must be been mistreated by some jerk because she is such a nice girl. (Less)
