Rescue Me ID: 16-11-20-00407Bam (male)

American Staffordshire Terrier Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Female Dogs Only, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Courtesy listing! Meet Bam! He's one handsome Am Staff mix! He's a big strong boy at about 75lbs, but mellowed out a bit since he's 6 years old. If you want to avoid the puppy phase but like having a buddy around, he's perfect! Bam knows his basic commands and has figured out his likes and dislikes. His likes include food (lots of food), bones, toys of all kinds, attention, your lap, kisses, walks, car rides and definitely water!! Speaking of walks, his family has reported that he is 'leash reactive' however we did not encounter that during his assessment and have determined he fancies himself the protector of his pack. He can be a bit ... (Read More)jealous so he'd prefer you direct all your love and attention in his direction. Bam would like to be the only dog in your life if possible, but experienced owners with a balanced pack may also work as well. Of course he'd like to meet all family members! He'd do best with children over 8 that are dog savvy. Now for the dislikes - running, nail trims, vet appointments, loud noises and cats. He doesn't dislike cats in the way you'd think, he finds them terrifying, so let's not stress the poor guy out by making him live with a big scary kitty. Are you ready to add this silly pitty to your life? Just think of the slobbery kisses and impromptu water fights! Oh, but let's not forget he'd also like a strong pack leader so he doesn't need to do all that protecting! He's house and crate trained. American Staffordshire Terrier Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults

Sweet Maddox is one of those dogs who had fallen into the wrong hands. He arrived at the Shelter malnourished, and with horrific crop job done to his ears, someone had taken a knife to his ears and butchered them. All these signs showed that he had a rough start in life. While at the shelter, staff picked up quickly that there was something very special about this puppy and they sent an urgent plea out for him to find rescue. Despite his past he is incredible affectionate, just a goofy, happy-go-lucky boy who hasn't met a stranger yet. His up-lifting personality is contagious...he knows how to put a smile on your face. %A0After he arrived ... (Read More)at RFL he was neutered and at the same time while he was under our vet performed corrective surgery on his ears. The outcome is incredible and his 'new ears' look adorable. What a very handsome boy !! Maddox is now ready to find his loving, forever home. Let's give him that winning the lottery life he so richly deserves. Personality: Low Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Miss Marnie might look like a beautiful starlet, but behind her glamorous looks is a life filled with sadness and loneliness. The only consistent thing she's experienced during her lifetime is being abandoned. What this sweet girl is really longing for is to find a stable home so that she can spend her time in the loving hands of an adoring family for the rest of her life. In 2011 Marnie found herself abandoned in a high-kill shelter in Southern California, a location where over 90% of pit bulls don't stand a chance of making it out. We took one look at her and couldn't resist her sweet disposition and her award-winning smile, and we pulled ... (Read More)her out just in time. We all were ecstatic when she got adopted, as sweet Marnie finally got her well-deserved break in life. Through no fault of her own, she came upon even more sad circumstances when she lost her family and home. Beautiful Marnie had finally found someone to give her endless supply of love to, but once again, she was left alone to feel the cold sting of abandonment. Now this cuddly canine is seeking a new family who she can enjoy life with. Marnie is a low energy kind of a dog and would be the perfect fit for someone who has an easy, relaxing lifestyle. If you're looking for a loyal best friend who can sit by your side while you read a book or watch TV, this sweet soul would be an amazing match. As long as Marnie is in your life, you will never experience a drought of love, as expressing her affection is what she's good at, and she truly lives to please and to love. She is five years young and has many beautiful years ahead of her; she just needs to find the right person who will show her the devotion and security that has been missing from her life. Please make Marnie's dream of joining a loving forever family come true! Shy at first but not scared, Suzie casually meets new people with small sniffs. Suzie had her own family but due to very unfair breed bans in some cities, she was not able to stay with her family. American Staffordshire Terrier    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Cats, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Dyna is a 2-3 year old American Staffordshire Terrier and around 45lbs. She's being fostered with Dog Dynamix in Arvada and getting some training. She's even been used for demos! She knows sit and down and is working on heel and impulse control. She also LOVES agility! She's very confident and food motivated, so she's willing to try anything you ask of her. A home that will keep training her and give her plenty of exercise with no other dogs or young children would be best. She's great with people, but may be too much for small children that could easily be knocked down. She is very good in her kennel. Privacy fence only or taken out on a ... (Read More)leash every time. She also has prey drive with bunnies and cats, but her training has helped her learn some control. She walked into a crowded vet clinic with just a gentle leader on and acted very behaved. She finally noticed the kittens that were in a pen and was interested, but would sit next to me and listened. She loves to roll around and chew on her toys. Most likely she was just kept around for breeding. She was found in a field with 2 puppies and brought to the city shelter who was going to euthanize them after their stray hold was up. Her puppies have found their forever home and she would love to find her's. Her adoption fee is $100 and she is fully vetted and spayed. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-05-15-00213Harry & Sally (female)

American Staffordshire Terrier Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Update!! Harry and Sally have been with us the longest, since January 2015. We are looking for either a foster or adoptive home for these two. Here's a bit about them: Harry and Sally - bonded brother and sister. This dynamic duo really need a forever home, but in the mean time we would like to get them to Colorado, so we are asking for a committed foster for them. They must stay together in any situation(stay tuned for the reason). These two were pulled by a rescue only to be given up on when they found out they were sick. You see, they were never vaccinated and contracted distemper at three months of age. They were fighting for their lives ... (Read More)and their current rescuer extraordinaire fought right along side them. They are alive today because of their will and tenacious spirits. Harry has slight, hardly noticeable, ataxia, but it doesn't slow him one bit. Sally has no after affects, but she is special, she is Harry's guardian. She helps Harry through life, with changes, confidence, and love. This is why they must stay together. These two are less than 2, current on vaccinations, and altered. Foster home can range from Southern Colorado and up the Front Range, excluding areas with BSL for these two. Please help us find a forever home for these two deserving pups! Our adoption process consists of application, with references and home visit and a meet and greet. All animals adopted are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and tested and treated for intestinal parasites, as necessary. Saving Dobermankind is a 100% foster-based rescue and therefore do not have a shelter for viewing available animals. Adopters must complete the application process prior to a meet-and-greet being set up with dogs. Please email us at HookedOnDobies@gmail.com visit our Facebook page www.facebook.com/savingdobermankind or visit our website http://savingdobermankind.org/ to request an application, inquire about an adoption fee, or to learn more!
