    Jojo had a very rough start in life and has trust issues. But once he gets to know you is very loving and sweet. Jojo is currently undergoing treatment for heart worms.     Gus is an approximately 7 yr old gentle giant. He is neutered, UTD on vaccines, & HW negative. He is housebroken, gets along with other dogs & even likes cats. Gus needs to be an inside dog as he is afraid of thunderstorms & prefers the comforts of air conditioning. He is crate trained, but also loves a comfy couch if allowed to get on one, if not he is completely content lying on the floor. He knows how to sit & understands the word no. He loves his toys, whether it's un-stuffing his stuffed toys or rolling around his ball. He also loves a bit of tug-o-war with the humans. Gus isn't a barker. He only whines when he wants to go ...     Penny is a beautiful female American pit bull terrier who was born about 6/2014 she is spayed, up to date on shots and heartworm negative. She is good with other dogs, cats and older children(she loves to play and may knock over young children). Poor Penny was found starving, full of worms and with demodex and sarcoptic mange. All her worms and mange have been treated and she has blomssomed into a beautiful girl who now needs a forever home.

Allie was originally seen by a volunteer at a local parade being drug around by a man on a tie out lead. The man who had Allie approached our volunteer and stated he need help with this dog that he had found a few weeks ago the volunteer asked he wanted to surrender the pup and the man stated no. He just wanted help with vetting and his next question was could our voulnteer give him money so he could eat tonight. The American Staffordshire Terrier is an affectionate, stable breed that makes a wonderful family dog. Staffordshire Terriers are friendly and great with kids. A Staffordshire Terrier is obedient and very eager to please. A Staffordshire Terrier makes an excellent guard dog while still being exceptionally gentle towards children. A tendency of the American Staffordshire Terrier to be aggressive toward other dogs can be minimized through effective socialization early in life. Staffordshire Terriers can live in an apartment if they get enough exercise. They are not fond of cold climates.
