Rescue Me ID: 16-01-22-00014Duke (male)

American Staffordshire Terrier Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Meet Duke! Duke was found as stray wandering around New Orleans when he was just a young pup. He is an adorable, sweet and active young staffy mix. Although he weighs about 50lbs, you wouldn't know it from looking at him as he is a shorty. Duke is a total ham! He is one of the most loyal dogs and will never stray far from his people. He has completed the Basic Obedience training through the LASPCA and would love to continue training with his new owner. Duke gets along with most dogs and has lived in a home with 3 other dogs. He is an attention hog though so he would do great as an only dog too. He has been around a couple of cats and seems ... (Read More)to be afraid of them, but he will chase them if they are on the move. He has been around kids and does quite well. He still jumps up though when he gets excited so he might be better with older kids, or an experienced adopter who can work with him to correct this behavior. Duke loves to run and play in a fenced yard, and also loves long walks by his humans side. Duke would do best with an active owner who has the time and energy to exercise him properly. He is crate trained, knows sit, paw, down and stay (which he can perform with varying degrees of success. lol) Duke would make a wonderful loyal companion and best friend. He is up to date on shots, neutered, and microchipped. Please contact us at info@loversnotbiters.org if you are interested in meeting Mr. Duke! (Less)
