Skylar has been waiting MONTHS for her home to come along. She's 5/6 yrs old and was abandoned on the streets pregnant and malnourished. Her puppies have all been adopted and she waits .....and waits.... and waits for her very own family. She is living in a kennel after losing her foster home due to not getting along with other dogs. She needs a home without other pets or young kids, but she really bonds to her people and deserves a nice cozy place to call her own. She is crate trained and has been working with a trainer on her basic commands. She loves to roll in the grass and play ball before settling in for a good snuggle. E-mail ...     I am very well trained as I have been in foster with a certified trainer for a while. I would be an ideal dog for a person that lives a quiet lifestyle and maybe a nice female dog. I like exercise but I like being a couch potato too. I am looking for a guardian that is experienced with my breed and will continue my training. I have overcome many obstacles in my life and worked very hard to become the good dog I am today. I did bite once. That was 2 years ago and that is when the trainer took me in because he believed in me so much. And he was right. I am much happier dog today. My trainer still believes in me and is offering free boarding ... (Read More)for me when you have to go away hoping that will help find me a good home. Rescue Me ID: 17-10-22-00370Action Jackson (male)

American Staffordshire Terrier    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hey everyone it's Action Jackson and I'm here to tell you a little bit about myself and my ideal family. I am a handsome and energetic 4 year old Brindle American Staffordshire Terrier. My foster dad says if I was an action figure my tail would be sold separately but I'm not quite sure what he means. All I know is if I'm happy and I know it I wag my tail! I really love running, and playing, and toys and pinning the resident cats down to lick them all over! Life is good! My foster mom says dog savy cats would be best for me but again I'm not sure why because I'm just trying to love them. I'm good with other dogs but I'm not a huge fan of ... (Read More)sharing my toys. I can definitely work on that with help from my new family though. Speaking of my new family, does anyone know if Tom Brady is looking for another dog? I think I would be perfect to help him with his daily workouts. I'm really just looking for someone to take me out, work me hard and feed me right so I can be a perfect athlete. Because of my size and excitability I need a home with no young children. Teenagers who can withstand or dodge the Action Jackson tail accessory would be best. So if you think you or someone you know would be a good match please hurry and fill out an application to adopt me. I can't wait to start my new life with my very own forever family. Neutered, up to date on vaccines, negative for Heartworm and Lyme disease and microchipped, I am the total package. Absolutely the perfect candidate for adoption. Please check back for updates, or better still submit an application so that we can meet. Jackson is being fostered in Framingham, MA. The adoption fee is $300. If you are interested in finding out more about Jackson, please fill out an application on our website by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: http://www.brokentailrescue.org/adoption-application/ We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label (Less)

I am as adorable inside as I am outside. I I am a short, stocky female 55 lb. American staffie mix. I am around 2-3 years old and was found as a stray. They thought I might be pregnant but I am glad to find out it was only a fake pregnancy and my hormones are getting back in line. Rescue Me ID: 16-11-03-00078Gator (male)

American Staffordshire Terrier    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Gator is ready to be part of your family! Gator is an affectionate, energetic 20-month old puppy who is ready to find his forever family. Gator's first few years haven't been very stable, but he's full of love. He is the ultimate snuggler- at his happiest curled up with his head on someone's lap giving kisses. Despite his loyalty and affection, Gator also does very well when left on his own. He's even happier if he's left with a peanut butter Kong to chew on for a few minutes before settling down for a nap. When you're ready to be out and about, Gator wants to join - he's still an energetic pup! He loves car rides - crack the ... (Read More)window and hes in heaven. He also loves going on walks, hikes and runs. Just show him his leash and he'll head straight to the door with a few happy leaps on the way. Gator already knows 'sit', 'stay', 'paw' and 'down.' He is food-motivated (and gentle taking treats!) so will be a quick and fun dog to train. He likes other dogs but can be nervous when first meeting them so will need some continued training and an owner who is willing to take things slowly. More than anything, Gator wants to find a family. He is looking for an owner who will enjoy his energy, loyalty and love and can offer a calm, stable home in exchange. (Less)
