Rescue Me ID: 14-11-18-00066Clancy (male)

American Staffordshire Terrier Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Hip Dysplasia

Clancy is a 5-year-old, Pittie. I saved him from a shelter 3 years ago. I am now in a position where I can not take care of him or allow him to live with me until January 15th 2015. Clancy is very sweet and loving to any person once he gets to know them. He is a NO CATS, NO EXCEPTIONS kind of dog. He is slightly dog aggressive but this honestly isn't anything he isn't willing to work past if you give him the chance. If you are willing to put fourth the time, energy, and attention Clancy needs, to meet and become friends with any other dogs in the house (not more than one or two, he will be overwhelmed), once they mellow out and there is ... (Read More)no hostility between the dogs, Clancy will be accepting and mindful of his new friend. *For the introduction: Be sure that the first couple of times the dogs meet, they are BOTH muzzled and on a reliable leash, as hours pass and tempers calm, gradually give them more freedom with each other. (This may be easier if your current dog is a female.) If anyone needs a dog and has no others, he would be the perfect companion, and if anyone knows of somebody that can watch/board him for cheap until 1/15/15, he and I both would be very grateful and blessed. If you have a temporary, or even permanent, GOOD home for this sweet dog, PLEASE contact me ASAP. My contact information is saved to this website. Please let me know, we have until November 22, 2014 to find Clancy a place to live. (Less)

Animal ID: 14-11-10-00067Loki (male)

American Staffordshire Terrier    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Very High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Loki is looking for a forever home as he is in serious need of attention. Owner works 8-10 hours a day and Loki suffers from serious separation anxiety. As a result he has developed an over anxious need to hog all the attention from the other dogs in the household and sometimes shows aggression towards them. He is very affectionate, very sweet and intelligent and anxious to please his owner. Loves toys and long walks and is very athletic. Needs someone preferably without any other pets so he can be the 'only one'. Would do great with someone athletic who like to hike and run and be active. He is a Pit Bull so he does need a strong hand and ... (Read More)discipline but he will do well with an experienced owner. He is a 'power' breed so you must be a strong handler. Loki will make an excellent companion for someone who is willing to put in the time and energy to be devoted to a dog/owner companion relationship. Not so much a family ( with kids) kinda pet. He is a super awesome dog that deserves a great home! (Less)
