Let me start out by saying that this is not an easy ad to write. We are looking for a forever home for a dog that is part of our family. Let me tell you a little bit about Stella. Stella is a 3 year old American Staffordshire Terrier. She is as loyal, smart, and athletic. She is very well trained, on and off leash. She graduated from Sit Means Sit obedience training. She will not go to the bathroom in the house..even if you leave her for 12 hours. She also does not need to be inside a kennel while you are away. She has never chewed on anything besides her toys. She loves walks, and does not pull on the leash. She enjoys hikes, and listens ... (Read More)very well off leash. She will become very protective of her 'person', the house, and the backyard. The ideal person for Stella is someone who is athletic and enjoys running, walking, and hiking. She keeps a steady pace with me on 3 mile runs. You must be firm with her, because she still has a puppy mentality. An ideal home for Stella would be one with no other dogs, or a small dog. Stella feels threatened by large dogs, and this is unfortunately the reason we need to find her a new home. You also must be able to let me (Stella's mom) do a home check. I will not allow Stella to live in an unstable home environment. She really is a great dog, and needs to find her special someone. (Less)
