Rescue Me ID: 15-04-08-00699Smokey (male)

American Staffordshire Terrier Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Smokey is about 2 1/2 years old. He is a great, very mellow dog. He loves to go to the dog park and gets along great with other dogs. He likes to sleep with the kids at night and is potty trained to a dog door. His only issue is he has separation anxiety and tends to chew excessively when he is left alone. Also, he is afraid of a kennel, and he is a very good jumper so he often jumps the wall in our backyard to get to a nearby grass area. So, he needs to be monitored in the yard if you have a short wall. We are losing our house and the rental we found won't take him due to his breed. We need to find him a home as soon as possible.

Rescue Me ID: 15-04-08-00121Sonya (female)

American Staffordshire Terrier Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Sonya is a sweetheart and very loyal, she is a pocket pit that I got at a shelter about a month ago. Her only problem is that she does not like to be alone; she needs another dog/human to be with her. She does not require all of your time when you are with her, if she has toys which I will supply you with some. She does have anxiety when left alone for long periods of time, I prefer her to be with home with another dog. Her only issue is she is territorial, but what dog isn't? I cannot have 2 dogs my budget won't allow, especially another pit-bull. I have also found out that there are limitations on my homeowner insurance on what type of ... (Read More)dogs I could have. I wish not to give her up entirely and will help with her support. I agree to pay half of her yearly shots and with her food. I only ask for small amount money so she will go to good home. On the agreement that I can see her now and then, maybe take her to the dog park or I can meet you at the park when you go. We can set up a schedule that would work for you. I am not sure what mix she is but most Pocket Pit-Bulls are mixed with a Patterdale and the American Pit Bull Terrier. Person who wants to take her home must have a back yard, she is house trained. Allow she needs to be inside the house and have another dog for her to interact with. She is very loving and playful! (Less)
