Rescue Me ID: 17-08-14-00138Broccoli (male)

American Staffordshire Terrier Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Aggressive, Fearful/Anxious

Broccoli is a sweet 5 year old Pitbull Mix who would thrive in a calm and collected adult home with no other animals or children. Broccoli will need someone who is confident with dogs and who is able to connect with him through training. He already knows sit, stay, down, paw, place; however further training is highly suggested to help build a working relationship. He enjoys training, working and pleasing; under the right circumstances he will be an amazing addition to the right family. I feel as though transparency only helps Broccoli's future success. He has a tendency to become protective over individuals and his possessions, ... (Read More)specifically, his mom (my wife). Broccoli struggles with anxiety and has had behavioral issues in the past and continues to struggle from time to time. Broccoli has successfully finished private, individual training with local dog trainers/specialists. I welcome the opportunity to speak with any interested individuals in more detail. We have chosen to handle Broccoli's adoption outside of a rescue organization, solely because we feel as though a kennel environment will not be conducive to highlighting his true personality. Our family is truly heart broken over the decision to rehome Broccoli, we've struggled with this decision for well over a year. We're doing so with the hopes that we can find a better situated home for this lovable dog. Our family would like to cover the cost of further training and development for Broccoli (to an agreed amount $). (Less)

American Staffordshire Terrier Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults

Goofy Georgia will make you laugh with her antics and wow you with her athleticism. She is high energy and is learning to walk well on leash with a front clip harness. She has a high prey drive whether it be a ball or a squirrel-Georgia is focused on it. Fortunately, she has progressed to 'leave it' when she sees a chipmunk or squirrel while on a walk. She is learning to 'leave it' when walking passed another dog on the street but that is still a work in progress. She loves to cuddle and give kissed. Her personality is bigger than life. Look at that smile!!
