Animal ID: B71773Boonies (female)

American Staffordshire Terrier    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Very Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Her name is boonies, she's a total babe. I call her boonie babes or boones. She's my favorite dog, and my first dog, and life will be a lot less fun and goofy without her around. My wife is pregnant and boonies just hasn't ever convinced me I can trust her 100%, and I need 100% for my child, her brother bugsy I trust 100% and is a total sweet heart which we'll be keeping. Her issue is she's just stubborn as can be. She has tons of personality. Which is pretty cute most the time, but she constantly steals whatever bugsy has and while they've only fought a time or 2 a year and usually over a bone or food she was always the aggressor. Shes only ... (Read More)been around small kids once but she barked at them for some reason so that was the last time that happened. She's great with teenagers and adults male or female. She just wants to cuddle all day under the blanket with you, or sunbathe and watch over your property, she's pretty independent. She really is a fun loving dog, just no other animals especially cats, or small children. Must go to a house with a yard. Honestly if your an expierienced dog owner and can train out some dog aggression and get her used to kids she'd be the best dog on this site. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-08-18-00528Loki (male)

American Staffordshire Terrier Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Loki is still looking for his forever home!! When I met this boy, I knew he deserve so much more in life! Before Loki came to us, he did not had a good life, never knew what is a loving home or warm bed mean by? He did not knew how to play with a ball or run with his four legged friends! We understand that Loki may have lived his life as a stray before Animal Control brought him to San Bernandino shelter. Despite living a rough life, Loki is sweet, adorable, playful, submissive and energetic 4 year old, 40 lbs Pitbull terrier mix. He is UTD on shots and neutered. He is great with people and kids of all age. He is cat friendly and ... (Read More)currently lives with two cats and his foster doggy sissy Angel. He is friendly with small dogs. Loki was also attacked by big dog before he was brought and treated in the shelter. This makes sense as he is little skittish of big dogs at the beginning, but we know that with good introduction he will be good with female large dogs. He is potty trained, crate trained and has no food or toy aggression. He loves his raw bone and loves car rides. He has a beautiful shinny coat. This boy loves to go for walk and is always ready at the drop of a pin, so if you like hiking, backpacking and camping, Loki is a perfect fit. He loves people playing baseball or any sports. So he can be your great baseball game buddy! He runs like a champion! We are looking for a loving home who understands him and this breed, love outdoors, can spend plenty of time with our precious boy and continue to teach him new tricks everyday! If interested in adoption, please contact us immediately!! Loki is currently located in Oregon but we can arrange for transport. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-08-04-00431Baxter (male)

American Staffordshire Terrier Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Needs Vaccinations

I need to turn over my dog Baxter. I adopted him 2 years ago from San Juan island but I have since moved in with my son and he has a 16 month old and another on the way and they don't want me to continue to have Baxter here. He is 7 years old, a chocolate lab/pit mix. He is very friendly, likes other dogs and knows his commands pretty well. He is a little over weight but not too bad. He is a very sweet dog but I just don't have another option right now. I don't like the idea of Craig's list as I would hate to see him in a bad home. As for his training he knows all his commands and is pretty obedient for me. He doesn't listen to others very ... (Read More)well if I'm there. I think he is a one person dog. If I'm not there he will listen to my son very well. The previous shelter told me he had been adopted twice and brought back each time because he kept running off on the people. I never have had that issue, if I'm there he stays right by me. I work full time and can't be with him all the time. I will admit that due to his breeding I have kept him away from small kids unless I am right there so I can't say how he would be with smaller kids. Like I mentioned before he was older when I took him in and I have never wanted to risk it. When I got him he had all his vaccinations up to date. That was January 2015. I have all his adoption papers. I personally think he would be a wonderful companion / protector for a household with adults. Thank you Debbie (Less)

American Staffordshire Terrier Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Not Good with Cats
Personality: Very High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed

Meet Betty. She is one and a half years old. Betty is an amazing runner and loves to chase balls and bring them back right away! A perfect day for Betty includes chasing the ball at a soccer field, running around 1000 acres and chasing sticks, and working on tricks and training. She's extremely intelligent and loves to learn. She is definitely a working dog. Betty prefers not to be left home alone all day or to share a home with kitties or children. She loves to work and be busy and if your family is looking for a buddy you can teach tricks to and take to the river, then Betty might be the perfect pup! The ideal adopters would be a couple ... (Read More)or a family (without young children) who are interested in adopting a highly intelligent dog who does require work. Her reactivity can be worked on so the ideal new home would be someone who is compassionate, patient, and understanding of a super smart dog with fear and anxiety. (Less)

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Very Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Abused/Neglected,
 Fearful/Anxious

Akaia, (sounds like 'A-Kai-Uh') is the sweetest baby you'll meet. She loves to play with her rope, and anything that squeaks. She loves to play tug and is very energetic. She loves to chase cars and other animals like birds and squirrels. Although she's a big pup and likes to play rough, she can also be very chill and a perfect cuddle buddy for a night in. She nudges phones out of hands if you don't pay enough attention to her and she adores belly rubs. She needs a home without other animals, and a yard she can run around in to get that energy out. She is quite aggressive with all other animals so she cannot go to a home with any. She does ... (Read More)okay with children most of the time, but young kids tend to push her boundaries, so I also suggest her living with no kids under the age of 13.. She is in training at the Sit Means Sit training facility in Wilsonville, and the training can transfer over to you as well! The trainers come to you! She is micro chipped, and spayed. I will also give you all the materials I already have such as, water and food bowls, her bed, harness, leash and collar, lead, her favorite toys and blanket. I can also give you whatever food and treats I have left over for her. I would love to keep her, but I do not have the time or energy to train her into a good canine citizen with the little experience I have with dogs. She is truly a blessing in my life and I hope she will be the same for you. (Less)
