Rescue Me ID: 18-04-18-00481Lola (female)

American Staffordshire Terrier Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Very Dominant
Health: Spayed, Needs Vaccinations, Aggressive, Fearful/Anxious

Lola is a 45lb pitbull/spring spaniel mix. She's around 5 years old, and as she ages she seems to display more and more unprovoked aggression. She's extremely sweet and playful, but will bite if disturbed while she's resting. She would certainly benefit from a behaviorist, but that is something I cannot afford. I adopted her from a shelter in eastern Washington in 2014, and her history was unknown but it was believed she may have been a stray. I have thought long and hard about this, and my conclusions is that her needs are something I can no longer afford. Lola's ideal fit would be someone with enough time and space for her to run, either ... (Read More)on leash or preferably in a field. She's such a sweetheart and has such a strong character, she makes me laugh constantly. She's great at catch and loves frisbees. She comes with a large crate for sleeping, a few dog beds, tons of toys and food, and various other accessories. (Less)

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Arthritis

Max is an 8 year old Staffy and I've had him since he was 6 months old. He absolutely loves people and kids. He will strive best with someone with no other pets especially dogs and has no intention of having more than one dog. Over the past few years he has gotten dog aggressive making it difficult for me to be able to keep him. I would like to discuss his situation in further detail with whom ever is interested in opening up their home to him. He does have arthritis in his hips, but it does not hold him back and loves being active. Rescue Me ID: 18-02-25-00470Darrell (male)

American Staffordshire Terrier Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Deaf

Nicknames: Darrell the Deaf, Darrell the Destroyer (Bad to the Bone), Darrell the Doofus Hobbies: destroying toys, running back and forth for no particular reason, looking at himself in the mirror, taking naps, and following people around How life changes drastically in the blink of an eye. Let me tell you my story: In February 2017 I got hit by a bus when I ran out into the street after a man and his dog who accosted my owner. Unfortunately I am deaf so I could not hear anyone calling my name. My owner rushed me to the emergency vet but had to surrender me after the vet discovered that I had a fractured leg and needed $3000+ surgery. ... (Read More)Fast forward to a year after my recovery: I'm around 3 years old and (as far as everyone knows) I am deaf. I get a little over-excited around food and even more-so around cats, so I will need to do a meet and greet with any potential new siblings. I may be deaf, but my foster has taught me sign language, so I am actually super smart! As mentioned above, I like naps, mirrors, and romping around in the grass. Water and baths are definitely no-no's but I may be persuaded if peanut butter is involved in the deal... If you are interested in meeting Darrell, he is being fostered in Maple Valley, WA and his adoption fee is $200.00 'what is that thing and why doesn't it like playing chase with me?' - Darrell, on cats (Less)

American Staffordshire Terrier Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Female Dogs Only, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Sully is a gorgeous and sensitive boy. He's fixed, chipped, and current on his shots. Sully is good with kids and has lived successfully with dogs and even a cat. He does need a breed experienced owner as he craves boundaries and structure to be his best dog self. He can interact with male and female dogs when he is out and about, but we think for living purposes, he is best suited to live with a female dog as over time, he and another strong willed male, will challenge each other. He's working on his crate training. He's got a few minor phobias, like getting in the car. Once in he's fine and won't want to get out. Best to avoid a home with ...     Hi, Hi, Hiiiiii.... I'm Oso and I am a super happy, sweet, bouncy boy. I love being with my people and I will follow you around and watch TV with you just like a little lapdog. I have been living with lots of dogs, while rehabilitating with my foster angel I have seen 30 dogs pass through, all on their way to their forever home. I liked all of them, though I do have to say I prefer bigger dogs to the little ones, so please, none of those pesky smaller dogs.     https://www.missgabriel.org/noel.html https://www.facebook.com/MrNoel2011 Meet Mr Noel. He has been here at MGF for over 2 years. He would be great for a dog trainer or an experienced handler of abused dogs. He truly is a loving companion. He is now a 7 years young Beagle/American Staffordshire Terrier/Chow Chow/Golden Retriever mix whose interests include walking, hiking, going for a drive and collecting treasures. This boy is house trained, is leashed trained, has basic commands down, he gets along with adults he has learned to trust. He likes to sleep near his humans. Noel likes to be left alone when he's eating, he guards his treasures ... (Read More)in his room and he does NOT like to be picked up. X-rays show his body being battered starting as early as 5-10 months old (broken bones). He does not like to be stared at with people he does not trust. It is best for strangers to ignore him at first. Trust takes time for him. Due to this he will need an adult only family who knows how to build trust with an abused dog. Willing to give him the time he needs to develop trust. He will trust again; it takes time and patience. He loves to cuddle with me in bed as long as he feels safe and I am not too grabby. He is even learning to be playful and silly as his videos on YouTube show. Noel will be happiest when he can be a part of his person's activities. His family will need to be sure that Noel feels like he is part of a close knit group. He is neutered; micro chipped, vaccinated, licensed and has a complete health workup. Due to Noels lifetime of abuse he has fear triggers; so him being an only pet and with a family without children would be best.
