    American Staffordshire Terrier Rescue Information: The American Staffordshire Terrier is an affectionate, stable breed that makes a wonderful family dog. Staffordshire Terriers are friendly and great with kids. A Staffordshire Terrier is obedient and very eager to please. A Staffordshire Terrier makes an excellent guard dog while still being exceptionally gentle towards children. A tendency of the American Staffordshire Terrier to be aggressive toward other dogs can be minimized through effective socialization early in life. Staffordshire Terriers can live in an apartment if they get enough exercise. They are not fond of cold climates.

    American Staffordshire Terrier Trivia: The Staffordshire Terrier was first bred in the nineteenth century in the English region of Staffordshire. An American Staffordshire Terrier will fight to the death to protect its family. The American Staffordshire Terrier is a gentler cousin of the American Pit Bull Terrier.
